Durferrit GmbH, headquartered in Mannheim, is a member of the international HEF Group, which is built on more than 50 years of experience in tribology and surface technology. The company is engaged in the sales of processes and consumables for the heat treatment of metals as well as for carrying out chemical and thermochemical processes. The product range includes nitriding salts, hardening salts for tempering, annealing, boriding and cleaning of metals, hardening protection compounds and heat transfer salts. Salt melts are used in the temperature range of 150 °C to 1300 °C, among other things in the heat treatment of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, in the thermochemical cleaning of metallic surfaces and ceramics, and for heat transfer in chemical reactors and in solar technology. In addition, Durferrit GmbH sells and services the associated salt bath systems – electrically and gas-fired furnaces as well as environmental protection equipment – and supplies spare parts according to original drawings. The affiliated Durferrit Deutschland GmbH at the same location manufactures consumables for heat treatment, hardening protection compounds and heat transfer salts. Customers come from the heat treatment industry, the chemical industry, the rubber industry, solar technology and metal processing.
