About DWD Concepts

DWD Concepts GmbH, based in Dortmund, is a developer and manufacturer of LED lighting systems with a focus on point of sale, retail interiors and furniture construction. The company produces LED light bars, display case lighting, LED light frames and textile tension frames, light panels, illuminated letters and logos, as well as the in-house developed INWI low-voltage power rail systems with invisible cable routing. Production uses aluminium, acrylic (PMMA), light-conducting plastics and textile carrier media — from custom-made one-offs to large industrial series. In addition to manufacturing, the service portfolio includes consulting, lighting design, CAD engineering, prototyping, design, on-site installation support, technical training, documentation, as well as warehousing and just-in-time logistics. Customers come from retail, brand manufacturers, shopfitting, trade fair construction, furniture construction, hospitality, museums and healthcare. Reference projects include Hey Marly (Cologne), the Atomium in Brussels, KIND, the Waage Apotheke pharmacy in Berlin, EDEKA Göbel and FachWerk Tools/NORDWEST. The head office with development, engineering, production, warehouse and showroom is located at Auf dem Brümmer 2a in Dortmund.

Materials & Processes

Al

Aluminium

Main material for light bar profiles, light frames, textile and keder frames as well as INWI power rails.

PMMA

Acrylic (PMMA)

Used as diffuser and cover surfaces in LED light frames and backlight panels; laser-cut acrylic panels guarantee homogeneous illumination without shadowing.

PC-LL

Light-conducting plastics

Material basis for the in-house development of uniformly illuminated LED lighting systems.

TEX

Textile carrier media

Printed textiles with keder lip for large-format LED textile tension frames from M to XXL.
