About Dynaudio
Dynaudio is a Danish manufacturer of high-quality loudspeakers founded in 1977, headquartered in Skanderborg, where the products are designed, produced and manufactured. The company produces its own loudspeaker drivers for Home Audio, Professional Audio, Car Audio and Multimedia, and develops OEM sound systems for automotive manufacturers such as Volvo, Volkswagen, Bugatti and BYD. A central manufacturing element is the in-house developed diaphragm material Magnesium Silicate Polymer (MSP), from which the cone diaphragms are formed from a single piece in a special process; voice coils are made from aluminium instead of copper. Digital signal processing (DSP) and fully active amplifier architectures are part of the system development. In the professional sector, Dynaudio monitors are used in studios such as the Abbey Road Studios and as reference monitors by the BBC. Dynaudio International GmbH in Rosengarten (near Hamburg) coordinates international marketing and sales activities. Since 2014, Dynaudio has been 83 % owned by the Chinese company Goertek Inc.; in 2015, the Danish audio systems manufacturer AM3D A/S was acquired.
