About Dyrup
Dyrup & Co. A/S was founded in 1928 by Sigurd Dyrup and produces paints, varnishes and products for rust and wood protection. Since the 1950s, a key focus has been on water-based acrylic paints such as Dyroton; in 1958 the first acrylic paint for facades was introduced, and in 1968 Europe's first water-based gloss paint. Well-known products include the rust protection STÅLHUD (STEEL SKIN) as well as BONDEX, a wood protection product that alone in France sold up to 5 million liters per year. In 1934 the company acquired a 120.000 m² site in Gladsaxe, 10 km north of Copenhagen, where Danish production and administration are still located today. In 2000, Dyrup acquired GORI, the market leader in wood protection in Scandinavia. Since January 2012, Dyrup has belonged to PPG Industries and is part of PPG Architectural Coatings EMEA.
