Who we are

E. Prang & Co. Apparatebau GmbH & Co. KG has been manufacturing shell-and-tube heat exchangers since 1948 and specializes in the thermal design, engineering and production of equipment for elevated safety requirements. The product range includes heat exchangers in various designs (including removable tube bundle, U-tube, fixed tube bundle, double-tube, double-plate and insert versions), kettle-type steam generators, replacement tube bundles, modules with valves, pumps and control technology, as well as pressure vessels, separators, demisters and steam distributors. Design is carried out in accordance with AD 2000, ASME VIII Div. 1 and TEMA C/R, including strength and static calculations. In addition to new production, the company also offers cleaning, repair, replacement and modification of tube bundles, including those of other manufacturers. Customers are found in the energy sector, in machinery and large engine manufacturing, in marine/shipbuilding, in offshore technology and in process engineering. Production takes place at the headquarters in Bergisch Gladbach (Bensberg), where the company began in 1948 in Cologne and was expanded in the 1960s and early 1990s.

Quality

Quality is defined in accordance with the European PED and recognized codes (AD 2000, ASME VIII Div. 1, TEMA C/R). Regular welding procedure tests and a QM system introduced in 1995, DIN EN ISO 9001, continuously developed through audits, ensure manufacturing quality; in addition, staged inspections are carried out during production.
