Mechanical engineering, plant engineering and power plant construction from Styria
E. Schmid – J. Köhl GesmbH (S.K.M.) is an owner-managed mechanical engineering, plant engineering and power plant construction company based in Kammern im Liesingtal, Styria. Founded in 1990, the company manufactures hydraulic steel structure components such as weir gates, sluice gates, trash rake cleaning machines (RRM), fine screens and Tyroleans, as well as pipework components for penstocks – more than 100 plants have been commissioned. In classic mechanical engineering, individual parts, assemblies and welded constructions are produced in steel and stainless steel: turning, milling, drilling, grinding, sheet metal forming (bending, rolling) and welded constructions on more than 2,000 m² of production area. The value chain covers engineering, design, manufacturing, installation by in-house installation teams, and revitalization of existing plants including sandblasting and re-coating on site. Customers include energy utilities, municipalities, hydropower operators and industrial customers in Austria and internationally (including Georgia and Albania).
