About EAS Batteries
EAS Batteries GmbH, headquartered in Nordhausen, develops and manufactures large-format cylindrical lithium-ion cells with capacities of 7.5 to 55 Ah as well as tailored battery packs, battery systems and battery management systems. As one of the few European companies, EAS covers the entire value chain from electrode foil to the finished battery system, with its own pilot production line for the rapid evaluation of new technologies. Manufacturing includes slurry production, extrusion, foil slitting, lamination, calendering, cell winding, laser welding, automated electrolyte filling as well as formation, cycling and testing. The focus is on LFP chemistry alongside NCA; in addition, anode materials such as silicon and niobium oxide as well as liquefied gas electrolytes are used for development projects. Customers are industries with high demands on performance, safety and robustness, including marine, rail, non-road mobile machinery, space, defense and stationary energy storage. Since June 2017, EAS has been 100 % owned by the Monbat Group.
