About EASE
EASE Ergonomische Assistenzsysteme GmbH develops and produces the active exoskeleton LU 20 for load handling in logistics and production. The system supports lifting, carrying and setting down loads between floor and shoulder height with up to 20 kg of relief (up to 10 kg per arm) and passively stabilizes the back. Artificial intelligence evaluates data on forces, accelerations and movement patterns and recognizes when robotic assistance should be provided. The weight is transferred via a backpack developed jointly with Deuter to the lumbar support and the hips. The company emerged from seven years of research at the Chair of Ergonomics at the Technical University of Munich and is being developed in the TUM Incubator in Garching near Munich. Prototypes and systems have been tested in practical use, among others, at BMW, DHL, Rohde & Schwarz, Gebr. Waasner, SFB Schwäbische Formdrehteile and Spitzhüttl Home Company. EASE offers the systems for rent, leasing or purchase and supports the introduction with training, maintenance and replacement device service.
