About ECCO
ECCO was founded in 1963 by Birte and Karl Toosbuy in Bredebro (southwestern Denmark) and is today a globally active family of shoe producers. The company manufactures shoes, bags and accessories from its own premium leather, complemented by shoe care products. The value chain extends from the tannery through design and shoe development to production and distribution via own stores, partner retail outlets and the online shop. Materials include full-grain leather, nubuck and suede as well as technology materials such as GORE-TEX membranes, PHORENE™ midsoles, PRIMALOFT® insulation and Michelin rubber outsoles. Core manufacturing technologies are the LWG-certified in-house leather production and the FLUIDFORM™ technology, which seamlessly bonds upper material and sole using liquid material. The German sales company ECCO (Deutschland) GmbH is based in Hamburg (Friesenweg 28); returns are processed through a warehouse in Warsaw (Poland).
