About ECI Mechatronics
ECI-Mechatronics GmbH, based in Schwaz, Tyrol, is a subsidiary of ECI Manufacturing GmbH, founded in 2012, and provider of the digitalization solution ECI Connect for manufacturing companies. ECI Connect connects heterogeneous machines and handling devices, both old and new, to higher-level software systems such as ERP or MES via a single, manufacturer-independent interface. The service portfolio includes machine connectivity, data processing (machine data acquisition, MDE), the joint integration of production data acquisition (BDE) and MDE, Smart Data with verification and filtering of machine data, as well as edge computing. The basis is the parent company's own machine park, which supplies components to motor manufacturers: from the in-house machine networking solution, a production-ready product was developed. The development was funded by the FFG and, as the only project in this field, was included in the EU funding program Horizon2020; the goal is a Europe-wide standardized solution for digitalization in production.

- 2012
Hans Reiter and Franz Stock found ECI Manufacturing GmbH with the aim of supplying motor manufacturers with high-quality components; setup of an in-house machine park.
Development of an in-house solution for machine networking and connection to ERP/MES; later productized as ECI Mechatronics.
Funding by the FFG; inclusion, as the only project in this field, in the EU funding program Horizon2020 with the goal of a Europe-wide standardized digitalization solution.
