About ECKART
ECKART GmbH was founded in 1876, is headquartered in Hartenstein (Bavaria) and belongs to the ALTANA Group. The company employs around 1,800 people worldwide. ECKART develops and produces metallic effect pigments made of aluminium, zinc, gold bronze and copper as well as pearlescent pigments on a mica basis in powder, paste and pellet form, as concentrates, dispersions and metallic printing inks. The products are used in the coatings, powder coating, automotive, printing, plastics and cosmetics industries as well as in functional applications, in autoclaved aerated concrete and in additive manufacturing. The service portfolio includes the STARBONDING service, in which customer-supplied base powder coating is refined with metallic effect and pearlescent pigments in a thermomechanical process — in Europe at the Hartenstein headquarters, in North America in Painesville (Ohio). In addition, ECKART offers a private-label service for coatings and aerosols (filling from 125 ml to 25 l) as well as metal powders for 3D printing under the AMspheres brand.
