About Ecobat
Ecobat is a group specialising in battery recycling and resource recovery with a worldwide network of locations. The company collects end-of-life batteries and recycles them in a closed loop: lead and lead alloys are produced predominantly from recyclates, while polypropylene is processed into more than 30 recyclate grades for various sectors. For lithium-ion and other battery chemistries, Ecobat offers collection, disassembly, diagnostics as well as shredding and sorting. Recycling and resource recovery account for more than 80 percent of the business. Customers can be found in energy storage, vehicle batteries, the renewable energy sector and in backup power supply for hospitals and data centres. In recent years, Ecobat has sold its operations in Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the European distribution business as well as lithium recycling in Arizona, thereby withdrawing from several business areas.
