About ecomates

With the RENUZEROS, ecomates develops a compact biogas plant for the hospitality industry that processes food waste and biowaste directly on site. The Smart-Degrader technology shreds, digests and treats the gas fully automatically; the biogas produced is used for hot water or heating support in the existing building services system. Fertiliser is produced as a by-product. The plant processes up to 100 kg of organic residues per day and generates up to 34 MWh of energy per year. Target groups are restaurants and catering businesses that want to reduce disposal costs, replace fossil fuels and avoid CO₂ emissions. The full-scale prototype is located in Freising and can be visited.
