About econ industries
econ industries services GmbH, headquartered in Starnberg (Bavaria), develops and manufactures systems for the treatment of industrial hazardous substances and for the recovery of resources from waste. Its core product is the patented VacuDry® vacuum thermal desorption technology, with which pollutants such as mercury, pesticides, PCBs, PAHs and organic lead compounds are separated under heat and vacuum in a fully encapsulated system. The portfolio includes permanently installed and semi-mobile VacuDry® systems, the continuous High Temperature Treatment Unit (HTTU) for mercury-contaminated catalysts and activated carbon, the mobile Mercury Conversion Unit for the stabilisation of elemental mercury, as well as vacuum distillation systems. Fields of application include the oil and gas industry (drill cuttings), mercury waste treatment, the metal industry (metal sludges), soil remediation (ex-situ) and the chlor-alkali industry. With more than 20 years of experience in industrial and recycling plant construction, the company also offers Econeering services: research, development, consulting, engineering, delivery and commissioning. More than 20 systems are installed worldwide in 13 countries.
