About ecovolta
ecovolta is a Swiss manufacturer of battery systems for electric vehicles and machinery, headquartered with its series production in Brunnen (canton of Schwyz). The company was founded in 2018 as a division of ecocoach AG and has been an independent AG since May 2023. In the roughly 7,500 m² 'Swissfactory' at the former RUAG site, fully automated battery assembly (cell to pack) is carried out with an annual capacity of 200 MWh in the final expansion phase. Core products are the standardized evoTractionBattery (48 V / 96 V, scalable up to 400 V total system, up to 172 Wh/kg, without active cooling) as well as mobile power supplies such as the ecoPowerTrolley and ecoPowerBank. The company's own research and development department offers contract development from concept through prototyping to series maturity, system integration, drivetrain design and electrification of non-road vehicles. The batteries are used in agricultural machinery, construction machinery, municipal vehicles, boats, cable cars, robots and fire-fighting vehicles.

Technology & Manufacturing
Lithium-ion cells (Li-NMC)
Core material of the evoTractionBattery with energy densities up to 172 Wh/kg and 480 Wh/l.
21700 cells
Introduced for the high-voltage battery solution of the Meili UELI to increase energy density.
Electrolytically nickel-plated cold-rolled strip
Cell connections automatically disconnect damaged cells from the rest of the battery pack at elevated currents.
