About us
The Edelobstbrennerei Blum GmbH is a family company in Obersasbach in Baden, in the Black Forest, that produces fine fruit brandies, liqueurs and spirits. Over two decades and two generations, experience and craftsmanship in the distillery have been continually developed. The raw materials – including sweet cherries, mirabelle plums, damsons, plums, quinces, apples, pears, grapes, zibarte plums, berries and Jerusalem artichokes – come predominantly from local fruit growers from regional orchard meadows. The distillation process is monitored by experienced master distillers using modern control technology; during the second distillation run, the fore shots and tails are separated from the aroma-rich heart of the run. The distillates are initially stored in ventilated stainless steel tanks, and the house brand Blum additionally in French and American oak barrels. With its own filling lines and flexible labelling technology, even small batches are quickly made ready for shipment; delivery throughout Germany is by parcel service or freight carrier.
