About FAST PV / Edelsegger Metals GmbH
Edelsegger Metals GmbH in Ybbsitz (Lower Austria) manufactures under the FAST PV brand pre-assembled, ballasted and wired photovoltaic units for commercial and industrial flat roofs with up to 5° inclination as well as for sealed and unsealed open spaces. The substructure is made of steel with the Magnelis coating and is produced in-house by sheet metal working, steel construction and mechanical machining; the company's purpose includes sheet metal working, steel construction, mechanical machining and assembly. The scope of services includes project planning and dimensioning with a proven planning software, string plan creation by electrical engineers, and prefabrication including ballasting, wiring and module testing. The finished units are delivered free of packaging in a reusable load carrier and are installed on site without drilling the roof, or provided for (self-)assembly. Up to 4 PV modules are lifted onto the roof fully assembled with one hoist; systems with a total output of up to 300 kW can be installed in one day, which according to the company reduces installation costs by up to 50%.
