edge Rocket Technology GmbH is an aerospace company specializing in rocket fins – the aerodynamic control surfaces at the rear of rockets. With more than 20 years of flight experience in hypersonic rocket missions at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the company offers solutions along the entire development chain: from consulting to design and dimensioning of the fin structure through to qualified flight hardware and mission support. The design takes into account mechanical loads, deformation in flight, stiffness, the aft interfaces, reliable manufacturing, weight and aerodynamic drag under aerothermal heating – the leading edge of a fin can reach up to 2500 K in flight. Reference projects include SHEFEX I and HiFIRE 3 with DLR.
