Edgetech Europe GmbH, based in Heinsberg (North Rhine-Westphalia), is a manufacturer of Super Spacer® warm-edge spacer systems for insulating glazing. The company is the distribution site for Continental Europe and one of three Edgetech production sites worldwide; in Heinsberg, five of the 18 Super Spacer® production lines worldwide run around the clock. The spacers are made of flexible silicone structural foam with integrated desiccant and acrylic-coated sides and are offered for insulating glass windows, commercial glazing, structural glazing as well as window restoration, with product widths of 4 to 27.2 mm and profile heights of 3 to 7.3 mm. With more than 100 employees, Edgetech Europe supplies insulating glass, window and facade manufacturers as well as architects and heritage conservation; reference projects include, among others, the Siemens Group headquarters in Munich and the Chambre des Notaires in Paris. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quanex Building Products Corporation (NYSE: NX) headquartered in Texas.

Silicone structural foam
Base material of the warm edge with low thermal conductivity (premium: 0.15 W/mK per EN 12667) to avoid thermal bridging at the edge seal.
Acrylic adhesive
Side coating of the spacers that reduces the number of processing steps in insulating glass production.
Desiccant (integrated)
Integrated desiccant in the spacer keeps the interpane cavity permanently dry.
EPDM
Profile material used, among other things, for condensation drainage in facade constructions with Super Spacer® glazing.
