Edi Hofstetter Werkzeug- und Maschinenbau AG is a competence centre for precise mechanical components and has been manufacturing mechanical large parts weighing up to 20 tonnes since 1946. The core competencies lie in machining: milling, turning and grinding, complemented by repairs, reworking, spare parts production and an express service. A wide variety of materials are machined, such as steel, chrome steel, aluminium, titanium, bronze and plastics. The company sees itself as a technology partner in large-part machining and offers a complete service including design, procurement and documentation as well as special solutions and retrofit projects. The range extends from machining simple plates to manufacturing demanding high-pressure cylinders; customer segments include international corporations, workshops and engineering offices. Production is carried out in single parts as well as small and medium series on modern CNC machines, including two 5-axis milling machines of the Reiden brand.
