About EDS Maschinenbau
EDS-Maschinenbau GmbH in Linnich manufactures demanding mechanical engineering components for the packaging, semiconductor and petrochemical industries as well as for spinning machinery and compressor technology. The manufacturing range includes CNC machining on lathes and CAD/CAM-connected machining centres for components from 3 to 3000 mm, additive manufacturing with high-quality composite materials and integrated steel inserts, reverse engineering, and assembly of sub-assemblies and plant components according to customer specifications. Materials are steel, stainless steel including Cronidur and duplex steels, aluminium, titanium and plastic. In addition to drawing-based contract manufacturing, the company develops individual manufacturing concepts and optimises components and processes together with its customers. Own products include pneumatic and electric rotary fixtures for compressors as well as patented, flow-optimised turbo check valves. For over 30 years, EDS has been supplying, among others, SIG with mechanical engineering components for packaging and filling machines.

Materials and Processes
CNC Turning and Milling
CAD/CAM-connected, CNC-controlled machines manufacture components from 3 mm to 3000 mm in any quantity.
Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing)
For prototypes, small series and complex geometries made of high-quality composite materials, also with embedded steel inserts for threads and bushings.
Steel
Base material for demanding mechanical engineering components.
Stainless Steel (Cronidur, Duplex)
Used, for example, for a SIG test rig for filling abrasive liquids.
Aluminium
Lightweight components for mechanical engineering and production.
Titanium
For demanding components with high requirements.
Plastic
Material for components and composite materials in 3D printing.
Reverse Engineering
Reproduction and optimisation of existing components without drawings.
Compressor Technology
Pneumatic and electric rotary fixtures as well as patented turbo check valves as in-house developments.
