About EFBe
EFBe Prüftechnik- Entwicklungs- und Vertriebs-GmbH, based in Waltrop, is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory for mechanical safety and quality testing of bicycles, e-bikes and their components such as frames, forks, handlebars and stems. The company performs testing according to national, European and international standards, including ISO 4210, DIN EN 15194 and DIN 79010 for cargo bikes, as well as its own EFBE TRI-TEST®, which combines fatigue, maximum load and overload testing in multiple test stages. Testing is carried out on components made of aluminium, steel, titanium and fibre-reinforced plastics (CFRP/GFRP). In addition to its testing services, EFBe develops and sells test rigs used worldwide by bicycle and component manufacturers, and offers consulting, manufacturer and laboratory audits, training, measurement of operational loads and failure analysis. The company participates in standardization (DIN, EN, ISO) and since 2016 has operated its own subsidiary, EFBE Co. Ltd., in Taichung, Taiwan. Its customers include bicycle and component manufacturers in Europe and Asia; EFBe is part of the SGS Germany Group.

Steel
Classic material for frames and components with high ductility.
Titanium
Premium frame material for sport bicycles.
Fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP/GFRP)
Lightweight material for which standards prescribe increased deflection values in fatigue tests.
EFBE TRI-TEST®
Proprietary testing programme combining fatigue, maximum load and overload testing in five to eight test stages.
Testing according to ISO 4210 / EN 15194
Safety testing of bicycles, e-bikes and components according to international standards.
