About the EFG-GRUPPE

The EFG-GRUPPE is a nationwide specialist wholesale association for electrical engineering headquartered in Bremen and part of the cross-trade GC-GRUPPE. Founded in 2002 as the electrical specialist of the GC-GRUPPE, the association bundles 17 personally managed partner companies, around 80 branch locations and approximately 920 ABEX vending machine sites for the daily needs of the skilled trades. The product range includes more than 950,000 electrical items from over 400 manufacturers, including lighting technology, cables and wires, automation and switchgear technology, photovoltaics and storage systems, data and network technology, security technology and e-mobility. Via the EFG ONLINE PLUS webshop, around 5 million items are available; via the GC24-EXPRESS service, 100,000 items are delivered within 24 hours. Services also include PV services, switchgear construction service, lighting calculations, digital tools (DigitalBox) as well as financial and logistics services. Around 1,000 employees supply the electrical trade, industry and building technology exclusively via the three-tier sales channel.

1. 1921

   Founding of the tube wholesaler Cordes & Graefe in Bremen by August Cordes and Alfred Graefe; origin of the GC-GRUPPE

2. 1966

   Sales channel declaration: commitment to the three-tier sales channel

   Birth of the GC-GRUPPE in Bremen
