About EGLO

EGLO Leuchten GmbH is an Austrian family-owned company based in Pill (Tyrol) that develops and produces indoor and outdoor luminaires as well as lamps with a focus on LED. The internationally active luminaire manufacturer evolved from the electrical specialist shop founded by Ludwig Obwieser in Wattens in 1969 and, according to its own statements, produces around 25 million luminaires per year. About 90% of luminaire production takes place in the three own production facilities in Hungary (Pásztó), China and India; since 2025 production in China has been reduced and relocated to India. The product range includes pendant, ceiling, wall and table luminaires as well as smart lighting solutions, supplemented by around 1,000 new developments each year. With 4,300 employees, more than 70 companies in over 50 countries, four central warehouses and 17 national warehouses, EGLO supplies retailers worldwide.
