About EH Energy
EH Energy (EH Group Engineering AG), headquartered in Nyon near Geneva, develops and produces fuel cell systems based on a patented, radically simplified PEM stack design. The company manufactures hydrogen fuel cell stacks with up to 300 kW of power, standardized 250-kW modules (EH Energy System), 3-MW power blocks in 40-foot containers, and scalable power plants up to the gigawatt range – complemented by an integrated steam methane reformer for natural gas operation. Stack manufacturing takes place in a proprietary, continuous automated process (roll-to-roll approach) that is expected to enable several gigawatts of capacity per production line. The Nyon site offers 2,000 m² of laboratory, production and testing space with hydrogen supply as well as semi-automated production machines. Target industries include data centers, manufacturing, defense and drones, aviation, oil and gas, and maritime applications. Customers and partners include EPFL and Google; in 2024 the company received a DNV Approval In Principle.

Quality & Certification
Stacks are tested and characterized at the Nyon site, including according to durability protocols of the US Department of Energy (DOE) and by partners such as the National Fuel Cell Research Center at UC Irvine. Environmental qualification includes random vibration and shock testing at 16 g as well as thermal testing from -20 °C to +90 °C; in 2024 a DNV Approval In Principle was granted for the EH Energy System.
