EHEIM GmbH & Co. KG is a company in the aquarium industry founded in 1949. Engineer Gunther Eheim is regarded as the inventor of the suction filter (external filter) for aquariums, laying the foundation for today's product range. The company develops and distributes aquariums and complete sets, internal and external filters, thermo filters, aquarium heaters, LED lighting with control, UV sterilisers, air and circulation pumps, CO2 systems, automatic feeders, measuring and monitoring devices as well as filter media and care accessories. In addition, EHEIM offers pond and reptile technology as well as shop design fixture systems for the retail trade. With the Digital Connect app, aquarium technology can be controlled via networked connectivity. In 2004, the brands EHEIM, mp and JÄGER were merged to form the EHEIM Aquatics Group. Distribution is through specialist retailers and the company's own online shop, supported by dealer support, product registration and download/guide materials.
