About EGW

Ehinger Werkzeugmaschinenfabrik GmbH (EGW), based in Ehingen (Alb-Donau district, Baden-Württemberg), specializes in the development, design and manufacture of rack milling machines and rack grinding machines. Founded in 1905, the company distributes its 75 employees across three business divisions: mechanical engineering, contract manufacturing and foundry. In contract manufacturing, racks of every design and size, machine components, castings, broaches and saw blades are produced – from individual parts to large-scale series, including complete production with material procurement and hardening. Gear teeth are milled up to module 30 and ground up to module 20; special profiles such as timing belt profiles and pointed gear teeth round out the offering. The CNC machines in moving-column and moving-table designs achieve X-axis travel of up to 10 m and table loads of up to 20,000 kg. In addition, EGW offers services such as maintenance, modernization, overhaul and plant relocation, as well as used machinery trading. The company is part of the Arthur Klink Group in Pforzheim.
