About EHKO Thermostop

EHKO Thermostop specializes in the development and manufacturing of gravity brakes (check valves) for pump-operated heating systems. The company was founded in 1969 by Dipl.-Oec. Helmut Ehlert, who invented the gravity brake to prevent unwanted thermosiphon circulation in heating systems and to keep heat energy in the boiler. Today the portfolio includes several valve series, including the housing-free Series 7 for installation in common threaded fittings, wafer-type valves of Series 1, and application-adapted series with flange connection and threaded reduction. In addition to standard products, EHKO develops special valves for individual tasks, for example in filtration and filling systems, heat exchangers and chemical plants. The company's own technologies FULLFLOW, ANTIAIR, FLEXOFIX and VALVOLIFT aim at minimal turbulence, low pressure loss and high energy efficiency. Gravity brakes are now considered an essential component of efficient solar systems and heat pumps. Manufacturing and sales are located in Oerlinghausen, North Rhine-Westphalia.
