About EHKO Thermostop
EHKO Thermostop (Helmut Ehlert Spezialarmaturen) is a valve technology company founded in 1969 in Oerlinghausen. Founder Dipl.-Oec. Helmut Ehlert invented the so-called gravity brake, a backflow preventer technology for preventing unwanted thermosiphon circulation in pump-operated heating systems. Today the company manufactures check valves and gravity brakes in several series – from the compact, housing-free Series 7 through wafer-type valves (Series 1) and classic versions (Series 2) to flange-connection-based variants (Series 5). In addition to series production, EHKO develops custom special valves for filtration and filling systems, heat exchangers and chemical plants. Proprietary technologies such as EHKO FULLFLOW reduce pressure loss through low-turbulence flow and increase the energy efficiency of the systems. The products are manufactured in Germany.
