About the esw GROUP
The Eichsfelder Schraubenwerk GmbH (esw GROUP) manufactures screws, special fasteners and safety-relevant assemblies at its headquarters in Heilbad Heiligenstadt. The core competence is cold solid forming on 2- to 6-station presses with diameters of 5 to 25 mm and lengths up to 240 mm; this is complemented by rolling technology, stamping technology (hot and cold strip up to 6 mm thickness, 300 mm width, press forces up to 800 t), coining technology (impact extrusion from slugs on knuckle-joint presses up to 800 t), welding technology (resistance, friction and laser beam welding) as well as machining. Design and toolmaking including FEM simulation and prototype construction are carried out in-house. The sister company ESW Bohemia k.s. in Košice (Czech Republic) complements the portfolio with plastic injection moulding including overmoulding of metal parts (clamping force up to 150 t), blow moulding technology (volumes up to 1.5 litres), cable and assembly technology as well as sorting and packaging. The products are used, among other things, in seat belt tensioner, restraint and door check systems of passenger cars as well as in truck brake systems.

Quality & Certifications
Quality is ensured by optical and tactile 3D measuring machines, 3D coordinate measuring machines, contour and surface measuring devices, hardness testing and metallographic analyses in incoming inspection, production and final inspection. Static and dynamic torsion tests as well as tensile tests on cable assemblies are carried out in-house alongside series production.
