About Eisen- und Stahlhandel Straub

Eisen- und Stahlhandel Straub GmbH was founded in 1991 by Roland and Carmen Straub as a rebar bending shop in Ottersweier and is today a family-owned company with around 100 employees in Lichtenau (Baden-Württemberg). The company manufactures rebar, mesh mats, custom-length mats and reinforcement cages, welds bored piles, diaphragm walls and tunnel reinforcement, and offers threaded coupler connections (Peikko) as bar joints fully capable of transmitting compressive and tensile forces. In the sheet metal processing department, flame-cut parts are produced by oxy-fuel cutting (up to 230 mm thickness) and fine plasma cutting (up to 35 mm) from structural steels, fine-grain, quenched and tempered, and heat-resistant steels, complemented by annealing, chamfering, bending, straightening, blasting, machining and painting. On 65,000 m² at two sites, including 50,000 m² of production and storage halls in Lichtenau with 20,000 t of storage capacity and its own rail connection, customers are served from mechanical engineering to civil and tunnel construction to wind power and plant engineering. Delivery is handled primarily by the company's own vehicle fleet; as a collection point of the Wiegel hot-dip galvanizing plant, Straub rounds off its range of services.
