Development, design and manufacturing from a single source
Based in Leutkirch im Allgäu, EKL AG has been developing, designing and manufacturing custom cooling solutions for the electronics industry for over 31 years. As a full-service partner, the company accompanies projects from concept development and thermal simulation through prototype construction and design optimisation to series production, sub-assembly pre-assembly and logistics. The product portfolio includes passive heat sinks, heat pipe and vapour chamber systems, liquid cooling heat sinks, enclosure heat sinks, LED heat sinks, CPU coolers and fans, complemented by the company's own brand Alpenföhn. Production is carried out in aluminium, copper, magnesium, sheet steel and silver using a broad range of processes: extrusion, cold forging, soldering, bonding, swaging, friction stir welding, skiving, die casting, heat pipes, vapour chamber and liquid cooling, complemented by in-house CNC machining. Customers come from industries such as power electronics, high-power LED, medical technology, renewable energies, telecommunications and IT. With its own development department, CNC production, quality laboratory and a warehouse with over 1100 pallet storage locations in Germany, development, design and manufacturing all come from a single source.
