Design house for programmable logic and functional verification
El Camino GmbH is a service company and design house founded in 1999 and headquartered in Mainburg (Lower Bavaria), specializing in programmable logic and the functional verification of complex digital circuits. The company was founded by former long-time employees of Altera and is an official partner of the leading FPGA manufacturers Altera (Intel), Lattice Semiconductor and AMD (Xilinx). Its range of services covers FPGA design from partial design to turnkey projects (VHDL, Verilog, AHDL, Schematic), ASIC prototyping with individual FPGA prototype systems, and functional ASIC verification using state-of-the-art methods such as coverage-driven constraint-random, OVM/UVM, assertion-based and formal verification. In addition, El Camino offers electronics development including PCB layout and EMC optimization, as well as its own manufacturing facility for prototypes and small series with SMD placement down to 0.3 mm fine pitch or 0201 package size. More than twenty highly qualified employees work in design, verification, consulting and training, with over one hundred verification engineers trained to date. The portfolio includes proprietary IP products, distribution of Terasic development kits as an authorized distributor, and the replication of discontinued ASICs and ASSPs.
