About ELANTAS
ELANTAS is a division of the ALTANA Group headquartered in Wesel and a manufacturer of insulation and protection materials for the electrical and electronics industry. The portfolio comprises wire enamels, impregnating and varnishing resins, casting and potting compounds, flexible electrical insulation materials, high-voltage insulation systems with mica tapes, conformal coatings for electronics, thermal interface materials (TIM), specialty and industrial coatings as well as composites and adhesive technologies. The processing materials are based on epoxy resin, polyurethane, polybutadiene, silicone, unsaturated polyester (UP), polyesterimide (UPI), acrylic, alkyd, polyimide, aramid and mica – with sustainably operated, company-owned mica mines in Brazil securing the raw material supply. ELANTAS supports applications in e-mobility, transportation (including traction motors), power generation and distribution, industry and consumer electronics, and supplies customers in over 80 countries. With 19 production sites, 16 laboratories and more than 2,000 employees, the company offers, in addition to material manufacturing, high-voltage testing, diagnostics and training at the ELANTAS Institute in Switzerland as well as application laboratories for electrical, mechanical, chemical and thermal testing.
