ELB-KEHREN GmbH combines several traditional brands of German grinding machine technology: KEHREN (founded 1934), ELB-Schliff (founded by Edmund Lang in Babenhausen), aba Grinding Technologies (originally founded in 1898 as Messwerkzeugfabrik Alig & Baumgärtel Aschaffenburg), REFORM, and MICRON. The company develops, designs, manufactures, and assembles grinding machines and grinding centers completely in-house. The product range includes vertical grinding centers in single and gantry construction, flat grinding machines with rotary tables and horizontal or vertical spindles, as well as precision surface and profile grinding machines. The MICRON compact machines, produced in Germany since 2009, specialize in profile grinding and are established in the area of hydraulic components such as stators, rotors, and vane pumps.
