About ELDA Treppen
ELDA Treppen GmbH (ELektrische DAchboden Treppen / Electric Attic Stairs) was founded in 2000 by attorney Sabin Manthei and Dr.-Ing. Ming Gao and produces motor-driven floor and gallery stairs. The products ELDA-BT2, ELDA-BTH, ELDA-BT3.1 and ELDA-GT2 are developed in-house, protected by European Patent No. 1035268 (drive technology) and manufactured in Germany. Production uses solid beech laminated timber (26 mm steps and stair strings) as well as beech multiplex panels for hatch boxes; the steps are joined to the strings via dovetail joints and finished with a clear varnish including an anti-slip profile. All stairs feature a maintenance-free spindle motor drive, electric emergency lowering in the event of a power failure, a load capacity of up to 200 kg, and operation via switch or radio remote control. The stairs are manufactured to customer dimensions; custom designs are possible where technically feasible; upon request, the company performs installation at a fixed price. Production takes place at the company headquarters in Vechelde, while permanent showrooms are available in Wolfenbüttel as well as in Schermbeck, Wermlskirchen, Morschen and Dorsten.
