About Elektrisola
Elektrisola was founded on 1 July 1948 by Dr. Gerd Schildbach in Reichshof-Eckenhagen and is a manufacturer of fine and ultra-fine wires. The company produces enamelled wire, self-bonding wire, litz wire and fully insulated wires, and additionally manufactures polyimide tubes and specialty medical wires through its subsidiary Elektrisola Medical Technologies in the USA. Production encompasses wire drawing down to individual strands of 0.008 mm, the in-house development and construction of fine wire enamelling machines, and the twisting of taped, profiled and extruded litz wire. Conductor materials used include copper, aluminium, alloyed wires (CuNi10, CuSn, CuMg) and copper-clad aluminium wire (CCA/HTCCA); insulation is applied with lacquers based on polyurethane, polyesterimide, polyamideimide and polyimide. The group operates ten plants in seven countries on three continents and 20 sales offices in eleven countries; the headquarters with production, warehousing and sales is located in Reichshof-Eckenhagen, Germany.
