EP:Elektro-Hansen is a family-run electrical retail store in Kropp (Schleswig-Holstein), founded in 1933 by Ernst Hansen and run since 2010 by Thorge Hansen in the third generation. The company is not a manufacturing operation but offers sales and services relating to electrical appliances: household appliances (white goods), consumer electronics, multimedia, telecommunications, security technology and smart home. The product range includes, among other things, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances, televisions, smartphones and network technology. Services include individual consultation, delivery, assembly and installation, repair and maintenance in the company's own workshop, as well as electrical installation in accordance with VDE guidelines – from rough installation of cables and distribution cabinets to the installation of socket and switch boxes. As a training company, it has been providing apprenticeships in electrical installation for decades. 15 employees work in sales and service at the Kropp location; the catchment area covers Kropp and surrounding municipalities in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg.
