About Lampen der anderen Art
Master electrician Holger Henschel runs the specialist shop "Lampen der anderen Art" ("Lamps of a Different Kind") in Brand-Erbisdorf, a sole proprietorship with a retail shop and an affiliated repair and restoration workshop. The range includes nostalgic luminaires from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods, country-house and villa luminaires, and outdoor luminaires for house, courtyard, garden and park in the classic style as wall, pedestal or post-mounted luminaires. In the company's own workshop, antique lamps are repaired and restored; in addition, custom luminaires and small series of forgotten everyday objects such as wax candle holders are produced. Every luminaire offered is assembled by hand; the range includes old, used, and reproduced Art Nouveau and Art Deco lampshades made to historical patterns, as well as mouth-blown lighting glass. Customers can have an individual combination of luminaire and lampshade created from the glassware assortment. In addition, the business offers lighting design, consultation and installation for living spaces, shops and restaurants, up to and including chandeliers for ballrooms.
