About EMWB

Elektromotorenwerk Brienz AG (EMWB) has been developing, manufacturing and testing drive technology at its headquarters in Brienz in the Bernese Oberland since 1969. The product range includes standard, special, liquid-cooled, spindle and permanent-magnet synchronous motors as well as generators, complemented by trading products such as gearboxes, gear motors, frequency inverters, soft starters and controls. With the exception of casting, punching and finishing processes, design, machining, winding, final assembly and testing are carried out entirely in-house. A state-of-the-art test and experimental laboratory enables efficiency measurements, thermal testing of explosion-proof motors in accordance with ATEX and IEC Ex, as well as testing and expert reports for third parties. The company, with more than 70 employees, supplies industries such as mechanical engineering, chemical process engineering, medical technology and the food industry worldwide and is led by the second generation of managing directors.
