Elektrosteuerungsbau Fries GmbH (ESB Fries) is an electrical engineering company based in Niederfischbach (Rhineland-Palatinate) that has been manufacturing switching, measuring, control and regulation systems for building automation since 1975. As a full-range supplier, the company covers the entire project process: planning and engineering with the CAE system EPlan, in-house control cabinet manufacturing with hundreds of assembled, wired and tested control cabinets each year (from terminal boxes and control desks to single and cabinet rows), on-site installation and electrical connection of field devices, as well as commissioning and programming of DDC systems. ESB Fries is a certified Siemens Solution Partner and primarily uses the Desigo PX series, Desigo TRA and the building management system Desigo CC; the team also maintains and modernises older systems such as Siemens Landis & Staefa Visonik, Unigyr and AS 1000. Customers include public buildings, universities, hospitals, fire stations, financial institutions and industrial companies in the fields of mechanical engineering and process technology.

History
- 1975
Founded by technician Wolfgang Fries in Gosenbach; manufacture of switching, measuring, control and regulation systems for building automation.
- 1994
Relocation via the intermediate stop in Freudenberg-Niederndorf to the current location in Niederfischbach.
- 1995
Start of the collaboration with the DDC system AS 1000 (Staefa Control Systeme).
- 1996
Product user of Landis & Gyr Unigyr PRU.
- 2012
Company founder Wolfgang Fries passed away on 01.02.2012; management was already in the hands of Dirk Fries and Hartmut Grimm.
- 2020
Robin Grimm became co-owner and member of the management.
