elexis AG, headquartered in Wenden (southwest Westphalia), is a strategic industrial holding company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of SMS GmbH. It bundles the operating units EMG Automation GmbH, BST GmbH, Nyquist Systems GmbH and Mesacon Messtechnik GmbH, which develop and deliver automation and quality assurance solutions for production processes. The portfolio includes the development, engineering, machining, assembly, programming and commissioning of complex automation systems for controlling metal strips and webs, system integration of injection molding machines, and quality assurance systems for non-contact measurement of tensile strength, yield strength, thickness, roughness and geometry. In drive technology, the brake release brands ELDRO and ELHY have been in use for over 90 years. Customer industries include steel and aluminum production, printing and packaging, ports and logistics, battery manufacturing and e-mobility, the tire industry, as well as paper and film. With around 1,200 employees worldwide, the company is present in all relevant markets with production sites, sales companies and service partners.
