ELGO Electronic develops, manufactures and distributes magnetic linear and angular measurement systems, position displays and positioning controls for positioning tasks in mechanical engineering and automation. The product portfolio includes absolute and incremental measuring systems based on magnetic tape and magnetic rings, rotary encoders, shaft information systems for elevator technology (up to SIL3) as well as single-axis and multi-axis positioning controls. The contactless magnetic measurement technology is wear-free, insensitive to oil, dust and vibration and achieves resolutions in the micrometer range; customized solutions such as housingless encoders (PCB solutions) and custom magnetic ring geometries complement the product range. ELGO supplies industries such as mechanical engineering, drive technology and robotics, the lift industry, mobile automation, medical and laboratory technology, and renewable energies. Founded in 1977 in Rielasingen as a family-owned company, it employs around 170 staff worldwide, achieves an export share of 80 percent and maintains subsidiaries in Liechtenstein, the USA, Japan and China.
