About elka-Holzwerke
elka-Holzwerke GmbH is a medium-sized, family-owned wood processing company with 120 years of experience in woodworking. At the integrated site in Morbach in the Hunsrück region, around 220 employees of the fourth generation produce wood-based materials and sawn timber for the construction industry and timber construction. The roundwood used is processed in an integrated value chain into structural and sawn timber, green raw chipboard (P1 to P6 and special products), esb boards (elka strong board) as an OSB alternative, and solid wood panels of the vita brand. The esb boards are made mainly from fresh, low-resin spruce wood; the deliberate choice is made to avoid using recycled/old wood. Modern production technology, a company-wide quality management system, and the qualification of its employees form the foundation of the company's quality standards for its products.
