About Elkamet
Elkamet is a family-owned plastics processing company headquartered in Biedenkopf (Hesse) with more than 1,200 employees at seven locations on three continents. Since 1955, the company has been developing and manufacturing technically demanding plastic products: extruded and co-/tri-extruded plastic profiles for vehicles and lighting technology, rotationally molded tanks and containers for fuel, hydraulic oil and urea, blow-molded luminaire bodies made of polycarbonate, and components produced by additive manufacturing (FGF, FDM, SLS, SLM) in plastic and metal. In addition, Elkamet offers injection molding, extrusion blow molding up to 2,100 mm in length, in-situ polymerization (T-RTM) with a glass fiber content of 67 percent, its own toolmaking, and processing steps such as welding, bonding, metallization, painting and assembly. Customers come from the automotive and vehicle industry, lighting technology, agricultural and construction machinery, as well as mechanical engineering and the electrical industry. Quality management is certified to IATF 16949; ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 complement environmental and energy management.
