ELOMAC Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1980 and has since been developing and manufacturing electronic assemblies with a focus on telematics in public transport (ÖPNV). The product range includes infrared detection (including the Infrared Location Beacon Type 515), data transmission via infrared, data radio and microwave, LSA prioritisation for vehicle acceleration, right-of-way clearance for special emergency vehicles, voice and data radio systems, measuring and test equipment as well as PA amplifiers. The IR products comply with VDV Publication 421 and are compatible with equipment from other manufacturers; the location beacon operates from -25 °C to +60 °C, is jet-waterproof to IP65 and achieves a range of 20 m according to VDV. In addition to standard products, custom solutions are developed, for example in medical technology, including prototype construction through to production readiness. The service portfolio also includes engineering and consulting services, software development, radio surveying, beacon planning as well as vehicle installations and Service-Level 1 to 3 repairs. Reference projects include Stadtwerke München and Wiener Linien. The company is based in Ebersberg in Bavaria.
