About ELORA – tool factory since 1924
ELORA – Werkzeugfabrik GmbH was founded in 1924 by Erich Rauch in Remscheid-Lüttringhausen and, as a fourth-generation medium-sized family business, manufactures hand tools of German industrial quality. The product range comprises 13 product groups with around 7,500 items, including wrenches, ratchets, socket wrench inserts, torque wrenches, pliers, striking and pneumatic tools, and tool storage. Value creation takes place largely at the parent plant: hot die forging, CNC machining, heat treatment (tempering, hardening under protective atmosphere), mechanical surface finishing and electroplating (nickel/chrome plating) through to final assembly in nine in-house production departments. The main material is chrome-vanadium steel 31 CrV3 / 1.2208; for special products such as pliers and VDE pliers (taken over from Tracht-Odenthal in 2023), special steels and glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide are also used. Customers are found in the trades, industry, automotive, precision engineering and motorsport; distribution is via specialist retailers and representatives worldwide.
