About ELREC AG
ELREC AG, headquartered in Eschen (Liechtenstein), is a family-owned recycling and disposal company founded in 1945 as a scrap metal trading business and today employs more than 85 staff at three locations. The company collects, transports, treats and recovers recyclable materials such as steel, aluminium, copper, tinplate, plastics, paper, cardboard and electronic scrap. In its own facilities, among other things, metal scrap is cut with scrap shears, metal chips are sorted, cables are granulated, tinplate cans and aluminium are separated, emulsions are treated, and files and data carriers are destroyed. In addition, ELREC offers demolition and dismantling work, product destruction, skip and container services as well as logistics with its own vehicle fleet. As a licensed intake facility of SWICO and SENS, the company handles electronic scrap recycling in Liechtenstein, in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley and in Graubünden.

Materials and Processes
Steel
Steel scrap is cut with scrap shears and returned to the steel cycle as a secondary raw material.
Aluminium
Aluminium is separated from tinplate in the can sorting facility using eddy current technology.
Copper
Copper is recovered from cables in the company's own granulation plant.
Tinplate
Tinplate cans are sorted and recovered using magnetic technology.
Plastic
Plastics arise from cable recycling and electronic scrap dismantling and are sorted for recovery.
Metal chips
Metal chips are processed in the chip sorting facility through pelletizing and magnetic technology.
Cables
Cables as metal-plastic composites are granulated and separated into fractions.
Paper and cardboard
Paper and cardboard are baled with a channel baling press (90 t pressing force).
