About elrest

elrest Automationssysteme GmbH, headquartered in Kirchheim unter Teck, has been developing and manufacturing automation solutions since 1963, including programmable CODESYS controllers (eROBUSTO, eCOMBO), WEB and control panels (eVISIO), WEB HMI/SCADA tools (eDESIGN) as well as frequency inverters and fieldbus modules. As a subsidiary of WAGO Kontakttechnik GmbH & Co. KG, the company offers, in addition to its own product development, EMS contract manufacturing (Electronic Manufacturing Services): fully automatic SMT and THT assembly, reflow and selective soldering, rework, assembling and final assembly of electronic assemblies. Electronics manufacturing takes place at the Kirchheim unter Teck site, among other things with AOI, boundary scan, functional, climate and endurance run tests in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 2. Customer industries are automation technology and, indirectly, mechanical engineering. The range of services includes material management, OEM development, consulting, training and worldwide after-sales service with hotline, on-site service, repair and spare parts service.

Processes and Materials

SMT

SMT assembly

Fully automatic assembly of a wide variety of component shapes (magazines, sticks, reels from 0402, BGA, QFP).

THT

THT assembly

Through-hole assembly of components as a complement to SMT assembly.

Reflow

Reflow soldering

RoHS-compliant soldering of the populated assemblies, in some cases under protective gas against oxidation and early failures.

Selektivlöten

Selective soldering

RoHS-compliant selective soldering for components that cannot pass through the reflow process.

AOI

Optical inspection (AOI)

Automatic optical inspection of the assemblies after the first production stage.

Burn-In

Endurance run test / burn-in

Endurance stress test for quality assurance before shipping.
