About Elsner & Jyrch
Elsner & Jyrch GmbH is a spin-off founded in 2022 by Alfred Jyrch and Roman Elsner from the Chair of Machine Tool Development and Adaptive Control at TU Dresden, created within the framework of an EXIST founding scholarship from the BMWK. The company in Pirna specializes in the manufacture of complex turned and turned-milled parts, in particular gearing parts as well as drive and freewheel components for bicycles. In addition to external, internal, helical and face gearing, technologies such as power skiving and slot slotting are used. Production is primarily in high-strength aluminum alloys, steel, stainless steel and titanium, in small to medium (five-digit) quantities. Elsner & Jyrch GmbH supports customers from prototype to series production, also operates its own brand QVIST for bicycle hub freewheels, and makes its development and manufacturing expertise available to other companies as well.

Materials and Manufacturing Technologies
High-strength aluminum alloys
Standard material for lightweight drive and freewheel components.
Steel
Used for durable gearing and drive parts.
Stainless steel
For turn-milled parts exposed to corrosion.
Titanium
For highly stressed, lightweight components of the mobility industry.
Power Skiving
Highly productive machining of internal and external gearing in the same setup as the turning operation.
Face gearing
Highly productive machining of face-side and conical gearing, including Hirth serrations and gear discs.
Slot slotting with slotting unit
Economical production of Torx, serration, slots and chamfers in the same setup.
